hello hello and hello and hello hello again this is Diana Randall bro here coming to you from Prescott Arizona we are excited today to talk to you a little bit about why do most Californians come here yeah yeah we get a fair number of California probably the Lion’s Share of people coming in are from California because it’s close a lot of people are starting to find out about Prescott and people ask why are The Californians coming here but it’s attracting them what is attractive and they’re not from California but you’re thinking yeah you you might uh you you’ll hear some things that will sound similar to you so we thought we would take the time and document exactly what we’re hearing so what we hear a lot about and it’s kind of sad sometimes people are in the car lifelong Californians born and bred um kind of have a little catch in their throat a couple little tears maybe and they talk about you know why they feel like they have to leave they don’t want to but the cost of living there has just been become so prohibitive for them they are very concerned that they have a huge Nest Egg but predicting out and projecting out they might run out of money yeah and what we’re hearing too is it’s getting worse not better in particular taxes uh the they can never get enough taxes right uh the government is taking on things that will cost more money they’re not looking to save money so it’s you know they’re saying that’s going to get a lot worse before it gets any better and every time they think okay that’s it I mean I think this is it now I think I think they’ve taxed where they could they come up with something else new overnight and so people are really struggling to keep abreast of these cost increases especially as a retired person and it would be different if you’re getting a lot for the taxes that you’re paying but based on what they’re saying what they’re saying you know the the highways have fallen apart you know you hit potholes in the middle of the interstate uh the fire safety fire safety cup with prescribed Burns Law Enforcement has been cut way back so there are places now that uh you know don’t feel safe anymore uh so sort of the tax value proposition and and again you know particularly if you’re retiring uh you know you’ve got a short window and most people think that it’s going to get worse before it gets better and it won’t get better on our watch so to speak you reach a certain age it’s it’s it needs to be fixed and I I don’t know about you but I think if I’m spending so much on taxes I want to be living in Nirvana it should be like an amazing town and City and and no potholes and this is just the pressure Crusher Humanity yeah too so you know traffic air pollution air pollution and all these things our daughter travels a month an hour to work and an hour back and it’s it’s hard yeah it’s tough so that’s why they’re leaving okay so uh since some of them are coming here that would imply that we don’t have those things and we don’t uh but uh there are other places around that you can go to that won’t have those things and so you could improve your life um so we’re not going to bother going through saying you know our taxes are low we’ve said that elsewhere yeah I think what we should focus on is why do they pick specifically Prescott to go to as opposed to some of the other places that they’ve considered and the biggest thing is it is so close to California so if you’ve still got family and grandkids but you’re trying to protect your nest egg and you come here it’s a six hour drive to Los Angeles six hour drive to San Diego we now have daily flights from our local Regional Airport here in Prescott right into LAX 50-minute flight so as well as Denver yeah um so that is very helpful it’s it’s great to be close enough frankly that’s why we came here to be closer to our daughters um we weren’t ready to go into a big city like L.A we just we couldn’t do it um the other thing people love the close proximity I mean it’s just great for holidays easy for kids to come see you get out and get back home and vice versa the other thing is weather here yeah other places that are close uh but most of them are like a desert right it’s uh you know you feel like a camel or Idaho is a big one severe Winters yeah so we don’t have severe Summers or severe Winters here the weather here is beautiful we have four seasons arguably five seasons including the monsoon season but they’re all beautiful they’re all wonderful uh there’s no time in the year where you you will feel you absolutely have to get out uh and you’re stuck in your home every day that doesn’t happen 120 does not happen here a hundred rarely happens yes uh in the winter we don’t have piles and piles of snow that don’t melt off it’s just enough to be beautiful and enjoy and then it’s gone so weather’s huge here especially if you’re a fan of four true Seasons yeah our town has it yeah it’s beautiful here second thing yeah beautiful it’s beautiful surrounded by mountains and and different sections of Prescott you either have the rocks or there you have beautiful trees then you might have um the the Dells yeah it goes on and on yeah it’s absolutely you go into the grocery store and you’re seeing the Dills at your view as you’re driving to the grocery store yeah because that’s hard you know California we get California’s beautiful you can see it you know but there are sections of of California that are just gorgeous yeah I get that so you don’t want to go someplace ugly um we’re not ugly but it’s beautiful yeah the other thing is we’re just plain fun it’s fun everybody here is is just uh just a lot of fun uh Whiskey Row we have a lot of culture here we have a lot of theater we have a lot of music huge music scene yeah huge dancing scene and um art galleries it goes on and on and on there’s always something going on here and it’s fun stuff for people of a certain age so like we visit our kids in Los Angeles there are lots of really fun things for young people to do that we wouldn’t be interested in doing when we describe fun we’re describing the kinds of things that people our age would like to teach for the old folks a lot of retiring yeah yeah if you want to golf you want to enjoy a good life you want to go have a good meal you want to go see some good music yeah uh this is the town for you yeah you might not find a rave you know I don’t know what two young people do now I don’t know yeah it’s not that kind of thing it is fun it’s the kind of thing that retired people really enjoy it’s a good time lots of things to do don’t think oh it’s a little town there won’t be much to do there’s a lot to do here it’s a very besides all the the physical riding bikes hiking uh you know as I said golfing I mean we even have indoor pickleball courts now at the shopping center so you can play year round yeah yeah and it goes on and on and on yeah so if you look in our our Channel we’ve got you know just tons of videos about living here and you’ll see all kinds of fun things that we do and we’re working yeah my friends are retired they they they’re really hard they ride their Jeeps they go up in the Rocks yeah yeah they had the time of their lives maybe one day we will too but we’ll see but in the meantime we live vicariously our retired friends that’s right and we just love the town and and we do a lot of the music scenes so yeah anyway so that’s our little tip of why what is driving people out of you know maybe California and it’s what is attracting them to come here and obviously cost of living gasoline everything everything Insurance remarkably taxes remarkably less I mean stunningly less than some of these places you’re looking to get out of California particularly if you retiring looking to get out of California you need to come check out Prescott it’s so close and so easy to get here if you’re thinking about Idaho or Texas or Florida Halfway Around the Globe you know just drive a few hours or hop on a plane come here first come here and at least check it out because you’ll be pleasantly pleasantly surprised as we were the weekend so that’s our little tip for the day so we hope you’re favorite Community here in Prescott uh very popular with our incoming buyers so we thought we’d take some time and talk about Prescott Lakes yeah we chose to live here yeah I’ve been here about seven years but it’s still a nice place even though we’re here yeah we didn’t bring down the values yeah yeah not much people tolerate us here but when I show Show Prescott Lakes has become quite the destination for people coming in from out of town they’ve heard about Prescott Lakes they want to be in Prescott Lakes they want to see what it’s all about and this is right up my alley because we Why We Love It Here truly love it here when we came here I could care less about living in a country club I don’t golf I could care less about gated communities it meant nothing to me I ended up finding this house and I fell in love with the house and here I am um I absolutely love living in a country club environment which I never thought never really thought that through it’s really not me at all where we’re from Rethinking Country Clubs country clubs are kind of snooty and it’s all about you know putting on airs and that is not true not here not right we have people here from Super you know way up in business CEOs retired CEOs I mean we’ve got all people from all walks of life and everybody here is very warm friendly welcoming nobody cares where you came from what you did what what’s your bottom line yeah that doesn’t happen here yeah we’re all one big happy family and that’s truth and so we go and New Friends we have met everybody here is in the same boat we’re we don’t have any family here we don’t have any friends here and we have met some of the closest friends we’ve ever had here in Prescott it’s kind of a bond we have and we’ve just hit it off with uh many many people here and we just have a great time so if you like most people coming in to Prescott you know you’re retiring and you really don’t know anyone here yes we do that’s a plus if you don’t that’s okay uh places like Prescott Lakes the way we describe it is Plug and Play social that’s right if you don’t meet new people here living in Prescott Lakes that’s on you yeah there’s every opportunity yeah we have a private Private Restaurant restaurant which by the way when you belong to Prescott Lakes no minimum food and beverage which is a plus um but anyway you can come and enjoy all the social events they have they always have a band playing a party on the Terrace and they’ll have a buffet dinner that you can go to they have a Mother’s Day brunch a Father’s Day brunch Easter brunch New Year’s Eve a giant party yeah all with live music I mean and you just get a table of friends and you have a great time yeah and it’s just lovely Athletic Center they also offer an amazing athletic center beautiful beautiful with top-notch equipment that they trade out every two or three years so you’re never honest yeah old Machinery exercise classes yes are included in your fee yeah I just built out a huge new room where all the exercise classes it’s amazing beautiful um they have great outdoor pool indoor pool pickle ball is huge here chicks pickleball court six or eight I’m not in yeah a lot tennis courts I mean the list goes on and on and on and uh so if you don’t come here and get connected with somebody in some type of way whether it’s athletic or through the social well you’re just not doing something wrong Golf Course you’re not putting yourself out there beautiful golf yes if you are a golfer this is one you’re going to have to see and again the the even the golfers are nice here which is saying a lot super nice yeah super super nice most of our friends are are involved in golf that’s right but we are not but um we socialize with them but they have a Arnold Palmer uh Affiliated Golf Course uh that you can trade out if you travel throughout other parts of the country and then they’re about to and they’re looking to improve they’re sink in a million dollars and new bunkers or redesigning the bunkers uh Prescott Lakes as a new general manager yes who is uh great new blood and visions of all kinds of things uh that’s right so we’re very happy not Many Clubs only that we have clubs within the club so when you join here when you move here you can join the bridge Club the hiking Club the book club gardening the gardening club um I mean you name it the Women’s Club the ping pong Club it goes on and on and on so if you’re coming here and you’re retiring like how will I fill my time the legs will do it for you yeah I mean it’s easy peasy it’s like shooting fish in a barrel you’ll meet the nicest friends um and have a wonderful time we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here yeah for sure we love it now in terms of the Housing Situation housing there are about 1500 houses maybe a little less than that um they they have a couple of more neighborhoods to build most of the existing neighborhoods are built out there’s a little bit of construction going on but there are not that many vacant Lots left in the neighborhoods that already constructed uh the place started in the late 90s Yes Columbus of the homes date back to the early 2000s but there’s still new construction going on uh so kind of a mixture there are Neighborhoods about 12 or 13 different neighborhoods summer gated some are not not that you need a gate but yeah so these neighborhoods yeah the different price points these neighborhoods are under the umbrella so they’re all part of Prescott Lakes but it’s a neighborhood within the subdivision and yeah the different neighborhoods have different styles as as the lady mentioned some are gated some are not some are designed some are huge palatial homes uh all the way down to condos townhouses uh some homes are designed to be easy lock and leave but very low maintenance not a lot of yard others are built on half acre designed to be you know sort of spaced out and you know and and everything in between so you would be hard-pressed not to find something here and be happy with the lifestyle and the move here yeah I can’t speak highly enough about it and the whole staff at the club amazing people People amazing they’re always you know dead on we had a client come in extra early and they went in the kitchen and made them a small breakfast yeah even though we don’t serve breakfast don’t even serve breakfast but that our folks came in early I guess they miscalculated when they would arrive and didn’t hit as much traffic as they thought so they ended up being really early they called us we were on the other side of town so it took us a little while to get there and the staff just took it upon themselves to take care of them give them a little something to eat while they were waiting for us that’s the kind of folks and that’s what uh Prescott Lakes is all about camaraderie friendship yeah um just lovely people good times good Other Videos on Prescott Lakes times you’ll see a lot of other videos on our channel that Prescott Arizona in Arizona we are um I I have little real estate team here in our lovely town at least in the top three I hope we sure try let me try we sure drawing you today talk about smell smells p u p u y karumi p u is a is a very ancient term if you know that poo you know it’s one of the very first words I guess I’m gonna find out yeah yeah it’s like a very ancient word poo okay all right so the with regard to real estate that smells what we we show a lot of houses and sometimes you go in houses and things don’t smell right people may have a lot of pets I mean we’re guilty of this we have dogs so I understand dogs um pets maybe you have kids maybe you have you cook with a lot of heavy seasoning yeah garlic or Curry or even fish or yeah yeah we cook Cajun Styles so sometimes it’s a heavy smell in the house and after a while you stop smelling it like you’re used to that smell but you put your home on the market and people who don’t live there come in and guess what happens yeah they’re like they’re hit they walk into the smell and they’re like I don’t it sometimes it’s just a bad memory for them oh I hate Seafood I hate this I hate that this oh you know and it turns them off Forever on your house 100 um that along with paint color choices we go over that a million times yeah and it’s an easy thing to fix easy thing to fix now listen you may be thinking oh you know I have a dog have a daughter doesn’t snow that bad it does we would like well it could it does you shouldn’t yeah you should get an objective opinion have somebody come over and get tell me honestly can you smell the dog the thing is though if you have a smell that doesn’t hit you on top of the head it will still make a negative impression yes it may even just be subconscious to the buyer yeah there’s something about this house I just don’t I can’t put my finger on it so my favorite thing is I’m a huge sentaholic he knows he hates it I I’m a big fan of plug-ins I’ve got all kinds of candles I’ve got room diffusers I can’t get enough of it I got sprays no problem with any of those things what’s the thing what’s the thing I don’t like I don’t like when she puts the plug-ins up to the maximum set all right well we’re gonna have a fight I don’t put it on the maximum she doesn’t anymore she used to he had he think he’s just very he has sensitive olfactory yes I do it’s ridiculous it’s what it is listen don’t if you’re gonna get sense whether it’s a candle or Plug-In or whatever don’t crank it so high that that becomes the smell that turns people that’s true because then people think what are they trying to hide yeah people think is there mildew in here that they’re trying to disguise so my favorite sense that I put it in all houses that I get ready to list is lavender or vanilla yeah it’s simple it’s easy people have a good feeling with that it makes them feel good and it’s not too heavily scented any kind of florals is usually bad tomorrow’s bad we must start frankincense yes we love Patchouli oh Patchouli is good too but the thing about those is some people find like Patchouli has kind of a gamey thing and same thing with frankincense a little too much it might be a little a little off the beaten path for some people so pick something and just be mainstream two yeah you know two plug-ins yeah yeah but just just a few will be enough and put it you know in the middle or kind of on the low side over particularly if you’re not living in the home yes uh the smell will build over time so you can sail in there if someone’s not living and they’re not running the AC the air gets still so when people come in that’s a first impression does it smell nice and clean and a good you know vanilla lavender don’t do any heavy heavy florals roses roses yeah have sometimes a negative reaction to that but anyway that’s our small little tip um that’s my favorite sense um I put them all throughout the house yeah and it just um it’s also kind of lavender’s calming so you want your buyers coming in to be calm relaxed and enjoy the process so uh just a little tidbit be careful with the smells if you’re gonna have a showing the next day don’t cook liver and onions you know don’t cook cabbage don’t cook seafood if you know you’re gonna have like two back-to-back appointments the next day yeah yeah it won’t go over well that’s that’s the stuff I like I like to eat stinky things though yeah and that’s the stuff he builds I’m like oh my God it smells like a garbage can in here so a little a little pointer for you when you’re getting ready to go live get those air fresheners plug-ins ready to go get lavender vanilla whatever get something nice and calming a calm scent yeah and don’t do any heavy duty cooking the day before showing yeah it’ll help you hello hello peeps hello hello and hello hello hello and hello Diane and Randall bro here yes we are uh coming to you live from the beautiful town of Prescott Arizona pick a lady live a mile high of the mountains just getting back from Los Angeles went had a nice little time with our with our kiddos that’s right uh celebrating our daughter’s engagement yes yes good time to Addie and Jake yes cheers we can’t wait for the big day but every time we we go to La we feel compelled to tell our story there’s always something interesting that happens um and this time there’s nothing like driving almost seven hours and you’re tired and you jump in a nice hot tub and you just want to relax and soak and there’s no body wash Airbnb so I’m like well there must be a dreadful mistake surely they it’s got to be under the cabinet It’s gotta be nobody wash anywhere in any of the bathrooms so I reach out to our Airbnb fellow and I say hey any idea where the body wash is oh we don’t have any you can go to the store and buy it yeah you gotta buy your own body wash and then you know will reimburse you okay well not going to help me at midnight don’t want to hop out the tub and go get the body wash anyway I use hand soap that was an interesting experience as well it worked but anyway the point is so when I yeah when I get to the store the next morning I go down the aisle while the the body washes and it’s all behind glass and locked locked case yeah now I’ve seen this in other areas for you know medication allergy medication not body wash so I’m standing there like a fish out of water I’m like how do I obtain this elusive body wash surely there’s a way for me to get this and a fellow Los Angeles Los Angelo and how do you say it I don’t know anyway he says oh you have to press the button and get help for that and I said get help to get body wash yeah I mean what crazy it’s not the bath crystals that I understand is a thing but body wash apparently in Los Angeles it’s a heavily stolen item yeah so uh I did not wait for that I noticed that on the side of it there wasn’t a protection so I just slid my my arm behind it and grabbed where I wanted and left but the point is is that if you come here to Prescott we’re not going to have stuff like that yeah it’s you’re yeah I’ve never seen anything like it everything in this entire grocery store was behind the glass it’s uh kind of a sad way to live your life uh personally is what I think but hey to each his own yeah uh I took matters into my own hands and grabbed my own body wash yeah I hope they don’t apprecially yeah correct although from what I understand if I had left with it I would have been okay with that yeah yeah yeah so that yeah so that yeah our understanding is the reason why they had to do this is if you go into a drugstore wherever and you steal something that’s less than like 950 that’s right uh as long as you’re not orange they’re not gonna prosecute yeah people do it so they put everything behind glass I don’t know if you can go into a restaurant and have a meal for less than 950 and just walk out yeah I don’t know if you can do that but it’s it’s funny because these things kind of build on one another uh last year we were in LA and they had all the blackouts so the blackouts hit right when they were announcing that it was going to be mandatory by I don’t know 2035 or whatever it is that all cars on the road are going to have to be electric cars and I’m thinking okay so you can’t provide electricity for what you have already if we had a bunch of electric cars because they have a lot of electric cars I’m thinking you know what this party needs right now is about 50 000 cars that have run out of juice and random durations during the blackout and people everybody stuck in the roads yeah and what I’ve heard too is uh some people who they are saying you know they they say during blackout time uh please don’t charge your cars up overnight yeah so how do you get to work I don’t know I don’t understand it’s a whole nother conundrum to me I just was fascinated by lockdown body wash yeah so I couldn’t get over that yeah so so first you know with covid you can’t get toilet paper so that means body wash is at a premium yeah the body wash by the way was very exorbitant it was 11.99 yes or a little box little little tiny bottle yeah wow so you got a City full of people who are broiling in the summer they have no electricity can’t put on there uh their AC and then they can’t use body wash so everyone’s gonna stink I mean just you can use body wash you just have to be patient and wait and wait I guess you can’t run in and buy some yeah yeah it’s a process well anyway you you reached the point where if you’re somewhere maybe you’re in La maybe or someplace else maybe you’ve been thinking about maybe moving on there’s a phenomenon called The Boiled frog and I don’t know if this is true but they say if you put a frog in a pan of water and you and you heat him up he won’t jump out if you heat him slowly you’ll be able to boil the Frog will stand because it gets hot slowly and he gets used to it and that’s kind of how you know you’re living in La you’re used to the you know the the black step by step you get used to things and you become accepting and not into everything that continues to happen that nothing shocks you anymore yeah until you have a body wash moment and then it’s kind of like I I can’t believe all right that’s it I kind of that’s the last straw you kind of hit your limit so I think at the Airbnb they don’t provide uh body wash because people take it people take it and it’s costly for them and I get all that you know but not helpful when I wanted to so if you’ve had a body wash moment you know where you’ve kind of where everything’s enough and it’s been getting worse and it’s getting worse when you hit that body wash moment let us know what your body wash moment was what was the last straw it’s like no I really do have to get out I Gotta Get out no matter where you go yeah whether it’s California Washington or again anywhere New Jersey uh yeah the typical States yeah so you got Khalid the exit Estates now I guess are uh California Oregon Washington New Jersey Massachusetts Massachusetts uh Colorado I think is now kind of becoming Exodus so if you come from one of those places what was your last straw we’d like to hear yeah yeah I’m gonna hear we’re here Live Strong and I can assure you here none of the none of these years go at any time anytime any day uh at night or day and grab myself a nice thing of body wash for maybe 5.99 and walk out the store and pay for it and and not have to be waited on people smell better here I think they do they cost so much to have body wash it’s helpful it’s helpful body wash is a good thing yeah so you know people’s thinking that’s uh you gotta get them you got to get people clean that’s the first step towards civilization that’s right absolutely so um you know it’s our way we’re just so fun and having some fun I personally think it’s a little outrageous that I have to get assistance to get body wash off a shelf maybe other people are perfectly fine with that I’m entitled to my opinion that’s right so please don’t shoot the messenger I’m just kind of expressing my little opinion take with it what you want yeah I’ll plug upstairs it sounds like she’s not too well hello hello hello there hello peeps how are my fellow pickle peeps out there today I think they’re doing pretty well well we’re excited to be here spring has sprung spring has sprung here in our beautiful beautiful Town we’re getting tons of people coming in uh this is the time people are traveling in they want to see what we’re all about absolutely here in Prescott but today we’re going to cover some reasons not to come now we’ve actually been asked that you know you guys talked about Prescott and all the wonderful things so if someone doesn’t come to Prescott or decides to leave prescube that’s right why is that why do they what are the negatives what are the negatives so we thought about that because we were kind of hard-pressed we’re like well I don’t know we love it yeah we love it decide not to come so these are the reasons that people have actually we’ve actually experienced these these people you know they they either left or decided not to come for these reasons that’s right so number one is jobs jobs you should know that Prescott is you know honestly predominantly a retirement Town yeah so yeah you’re still working and you want to come to Prescott you should already have a job you should already have a job have your job lined up if you are in the health care profession maybe Insurance maybe Hospitality or a realtor you could find something you could probably find something in your education you know the usual suspects but right in terms of having like giant advertising firms or or big companies here it’s not a headquarter tale it’s not yeah it’s not it’s a nice quiet you’re doing the job search you need a job chances are present right for you you might have better luck out in Prescott Valley yeah yeah but in terms of you know finding a regular job like you would in a larger City might be a little bit more limiting for you yes so you should be aware of that yeah the second thing we get a lot of I’m not sure how people get confused on this yes it’s always fascinating to me but they say I need to be by water yeah well you should know specifically beaches right and beaches yeah so if you’re looking for sand and sun we are a mountain town we’re a mountain town if there were beaches here you’d be building an ark everything would be under the water so we do have some Lakes we do have some water sports so Lake Powell that people go to people drive over to Lake Havasu but we certainly don’t have a seashore that’s no no Seashore here people are like I’d like to live on the water well we have a couple of reservoirs that back up back up so you will never be able to find a house uh on the water um we just don’t there’s Donuts to offer people want streams or Creeks or whatever running through their backyard we can find maybe a handful of those but it’s just not that common so be aware this is a mountain town he’s correct total mountain town we don’t have beaches we don’t have a lot of water front you know properties here we just have beautiful mountains beautiful views beautiful Dells yeah outdoor activity we got other things but no beaches no beaches so sorry about that not a lot of access to water number three do you have altitude uh we are about a mile high we’re about the same altitude as Denver yep and some people have a problem with that yeah it takes a little while to kind of adapt and adjust we did too because we came from kind of below sea levels below sea level so we went up a mile and uh and you you find yourself breathless a lot uh your lungs will expand and and get used to it you will adapt yeah um but some people you know that we had uh some people that we knew who uh they got coveted damaged their lungs they had to move to a lower altitude so if you have lung issues um you know if you have trouble hanging out in a city like Denver for example it’s a mile high you’re going to have trouble here yeah some people get altitude sickness and those kind of areas so keep that in mind particularly if you do have a lot of um uh lung issues because it could be problematic for you now it’s just the altitude our air quality is good on the plus side the air quality is amazing the air quality is very very good but it is one of the top 10 Towns of great air quality in the United States yeah so keep that in mind if you are you know are on an oxygen tank this might be a little bit tougher for you to adapt to but you can you will and you’ll survive yep number four politics the most controversial very controversial all right so if in case you haven’t heard Prescott is kind of a conservative town we are predominantly a red town I say predominantly we’re the majority of people here are red are Republicans that’s right there’s a mixture there’s a mixture there is but for the most part you know press could uh gem really you know they’re more Republicans than Democrats uh and some people have a problem with that now if you are considering moving to let’s say Texas now a lot of people are Texas is a lot more we’ve lived in Texas we’ve lived in Prescott Texas is a lot more conservative than Prescott that is a very conservative brand you know Ultra conservative and and Prescott not that much very tolerant people uh for the most part we’re about Freedom we’re a western town totally you’re from the Constitution yeah the Constitution I believe in constitutional law so but you know if you’re the kind of person you’re going to lose your mind if you see I find that offensive yeah a political sign for a republican candidate in a window and you don’t like yeah that people are going to put up their signs here and uh they’re not ostracized for doing that no uh they can put all about respect yeah whatever political sign you want and it’s not for the most part it’s not going to be destroyed your own’s not going to be vandalized no you’re not going to be ostracized We Believe In free free speech and freedom of opinion I guess that’s right and so people do that if you want to live someplace where dissenting political views are repressed Prescott’s not your place you know we don’t do that everyone’s afraid to have everything yes yeah and I have to say living here so I’m more in the middle I’m not really Ultra liberal I’m not ultra-conservative I’m politically we’re not real political at all actually I don’t really care everybody has the right to their own opinion to each his own uh I just want to have peace but I will say here that most people who might be a little more to the right yeah uh are very tolerant though I mean you know most of our we have friends who are on both sides yeah we do absolutely and we all could have lovely discussions there’s nothing ugly here nothing um intolerant yeah Prescott is not an intolerant at all everybody’s very friendly and they’re like okay you know to each other and I can honestly that’s been my experience and I I haven’t heard from any of my friends that they’ve experienced anything different uh we do fund the police here uh we support the police we support our vets yes we support our firefighters you will see American flags here yes you will see the American flags with the was it black and blue to support the police correct we’ll see those yes uh because there are people that are very vocal about their support for police and we’ve got a lot of we have a lot of veterans and police officers there’s some firefighters who retired a huge support uh in this town for those folks yes and uh also you should know uh this is an open carry cons you know yeah and we had another video that that went over guns and you know shooting and how people like to shoot here uh people like guns here so if you can’t live in a neighborhood where some of your neighbors might have a gun um not your place because a lot of people true that’s true and just as a little aside it you want to live someplace where the the police are not funded or defunded uh you might want to have a gun I don’t know don’t go someplace where you get them either I have to say guns do scare me I you know as long as you’re properly trained uh we have a lot of friends and they are gun owners and responsible gun owners and um it is kind of fun to go shooting at the shooting range and go shoot out outside in the mountains that’s kind of fun and for the most part it is about fun because it is everything it’s very safe here you know so yes yes so the other thing is physical response physical responsibility yeah so again the conservatism thing our local government is very fiscally responsible taxes do not keep going up no surprises no surprises you know and and people want that you know if you’re retiring and you have a limited Nest Egg you want to know you’re going to move someplace that’s going to be fiscally responsible um then your money won’t wear out and your money won’t wear out so run out run out run out yeah your money won’t run out um because of increasing taxes or this this new tax added or that new tax ad it really doesn’t happen here so um I don’t want to hear any negative comments I’m just stating the fact I’m reporting the facts I am neutral I’m on neither side I just live my life work hard and uh try to be a good person yeah I am not firmly entrenched on either side of politics uh I’m just here to serve you and help you find a great house yeah and have a good time while we’re doing it yeah but for some people who really want to know the inside skinny yeah we just want to let you know what you can expect if it’s important to you to live in a community that’s predominantly blue and you don’t want anyone with guns and and all the things that you should know we mentioned then you know this probably isn’t the place for you I don’t want anyone to move and then be horribly disappointed or feel like this isn’t quite a good fit I’m not happy so we try to just educate everybody Frank Right Center okay so I know you may not some people may not like to hear all this but anyway the facts are the facts so there they are and we have known people who’ve decided you know this is this place is too conservative for us and we think we feel and I respect that you know everybody has to be happy where they land yeah you always have the freedom of voting with your feet we talk about voting with your feet before that’s right um but you know obviously it would be better to avoid having to do that we don’t want you to come here and decide nah these aren’t my my folks as I said we are friends with people from all walks of life yeah people from both sides on on either side part of the fence on party wise um and you know what we all have a great time we’re all tolerant we support each other and it’s uh some good friends out there so don’t let that necessarily deter you just come out and try it out and see what you think absolutely all right so that’s our little tips for the day for the day today some maybe possibly negative things about it yeah it’s kind of hard for us yeah negative things it was hard positive things we’ve had the questions so we thought we needed to uh to field it these are things we get in the car all the time when we’re out on our tour s so there no no comments please I really don’t care if you don’t like it if you don’t like it you can delete it okay yeah you can delete it and say bye bye bye now we were asked for it so we have
