is violet it’s frankie frankie’s making a shot it’s frankie might not make it but anyway we’re here enjoying the lovely day in the after in the afternoon here on our porch upstairs deck and we were thinking to ourselves wow you know we got this house at a great price right when things were changing and uh the appreciation here has been phenomenal yeah it’s been amazing uh i’m not even sure i could get it now yeah yeah that’s how much it’s gone up since we moved here yeah we’re in prescott prescott lakes presa lakes subdivision is by far the largest in the area and it gets appreciation pretty consistent consistencies consistently since i like 2012 something like that uh between uh eight and ten percent uh appreciation a year a year each year which is one year which is phenomenal yeah so if you’re looking to buy a home and and say will this be a good investment now’s the time because the price is just they’re going up it is really appreciating people yeah it is you know people will come in and they’ll take a look at a house that’s selling for let’s say that you know 700 000 dollars and they’ll say well wait a minute you know the the the seller paid 500 yes only four years ago welcome to 10 appreciation it’s real folks you know i just do the arithmetic if you take 10 or 500 that’s 50 000 a year times four yeah 700 yeah my math teacher would kill me because that’s really not the way you calculate interest if you’re not a geek if you you know you have social skills you can calculate it that way but uh you know just very roughly uh you look at the numbers that way and they’ll give you give you an idea and people are surprised they’re glad to get the appreciation when they own the home uh but they forget you know appreciation works for the other side too so don’t wait too long because you might outprice yourself yeah absolutely on certain homes that you may fall in love with so if you’re thinking i’ll wait a year or two and see what’s going to happen you might you might lose out you might lose out you might lose that particular yeah our buyers from california need to be really careful too because a big part of the reason that uh california is in in large part driving the prescott market and we call it the california arbitrage so you sell your home in california and you come to prescott you buy a home that’s as good or better and you bank like 50 of the cost of the home well if you’re in areas of california and there are still many where the homes are appreciation appreciating very rapidly well that’s fine your home’s appreciating and so are the homes here but some of the areas of california the appreciation is begin to slow down yep if that’s the case you’re going to lose your arbitration you know you’re going to use that extra bank that extra bank that you wanted to put into savings or for your retirement yeah so don’t wait too long don’t wait too long it’s a good time a good time to move we still have some great deals great deals yeah great deals and people for the most part coming in from places like california are amazed at what their money can buy oh yeah still a good investment still a good investment still gonna see some appreciation yeah so anyway we just want to kind of talk about that yeah we’re kind of excited about where we live now we really have never lived any place right great violet yeah yes violet says yes violence yeah where we had some nice appreciation yeah we appreciate appreciation we appreciate you appreciative thing yeah it hasn’t happened to us too often yeah that’s right in other areas where we live texas louisiana so for this we totally embrace it we are psyched yeah we are psyched and so was fighting yeah a beautiful home like this could also be a good investment that’s wonderful it’s a it’s a very nice win-win yeah absolutely so anyway if you’re thinking about it don’t think too long yeah now is the time to strike good time to act very low uh interest rates yes you can lock those in hello hello hello pickle peeps hey peeps this is diane bro with my better half sometimes better half randall bro correct rumbling we’re in the van again we’re trying uh a dash cam still got some grumbling going on on the road so we thought that would be kind of cool in the pickle van driving around keep it keep it uh keep it jumping keep it jumping spicy that’s kind of spicy yeah because yeah we’ve been in uh we’ve been in lockdown for a while yeah exciting so today we’re going to talk about the many terrains of prescott yes so we have people that come in and they have preconceived notions of what prescott is and very different preconceived notions and the answer is we’re all those things we are we have many different types of terrain uh you can drive within five minutes and be in something that looks entirely different than where we just were so if you are a tree person or a forest person we got an area we got it yeah that’s kind of what i thought of about prescott i guess people described it as a mountain town well a mountaintop town to me is a place that’s well mountainous and has like lots of pine trees like pine tree forests yes and we absolutely have that we do yeah and so what’s nice is those particular areas are a little bit higher elevation uh but they are surrounded by pine trees some areas are also bordered by the state national forest it’s lovely it’s beautiful it’s going to be a little you’ll get a little more cooler weather up there you get a little more snow than the winter season you know that’s negligible but what’s beautiful about the tree the trees and the forested sections i mean you really feel like you’re in a tree house yeah some of these homes are built off the side of a mountain and all you hear is the swaying and the wind in the pine trees yeah it’s gorgeous it’s gorgeous it’s it’s just beautiful very peaceful very nice so if that is where your heart is we have that we have that section to take that and then that most of the areas in town that have lots and lots of pine trees are the southwest section of town yes if you go a little further north uh we’ll show you scenes from uh the haciampa area which is uh is kind of like our our next terrain the trees tend to thin out a little bit but still lots of terrain lots of drought that has and boulders yeah trees and boulders trees and boulders which is a really cool combo kind of my favorite combo really yeah um you’ll have the boulders plus you’ll still have the beauty and the greenness of the trees yes um and a little bit mountainous yes so that’s cool yeah and some people do not want any terrain they don’t want any hills they don’t want they want it flat yeah you know and so a good area for that but they still want trees is williamson valley williamson valley so lots of uh lots of flatter land still get a fair amount of rock um you know you can have some rock formations most of the homes can be done on a single level because there’s more flat land right um you’re not looking through trees so if you’re an area with lots of trees well your view is going to be trees sometimes you can’t see past the trees to see what’s beyond uh they have granite mountain in the distance yeah and out in the williamson valley area flatlands but lots of juniper uh scrub brush it’s kind of looks like an old western town it’s kind of a western like you’re just waiting for those tumbleweeds to come come through so totally different section totally different feel and one section that’s really popular it’s kind of in between a little bit more terrain than williamson valley but not a lot of trees is sort of midtown around the uh the area prescott lakes uh there is uh there are some homes that are built like on the edge of a cliff you know the the stemwall construction uh which is nice but there is some flat land some singles and again you have views of the dells willow lake watson lake um so that’s a little more of a planned subdivision so it’s beautifully landscaped so you see lots of green um but you will see some great distant views of granite mountain thumb butte uh and the dells and the dells which is our last area we wanted to talk about which is not unique to prescott but pretty close there are only a few areas in the world who have these kinds of uh rock formations and we are one of them and they are just stunning i love it it’s uh very similar kind of similar to the rocks in sedona but these are we call the fred flintstone for you people of our generation you’ll know what we’re talking about fred flintstone rocks and it’s right here in the heart of prescott lots of kayaking around there lots of hiking in there um it’s beautiful very very peaceful so some people like to live around those dells and see those rocks and the rocks and it is super cool um so prescott has it all so whatever your preconceived notions some preconceived notions we don’t have some people think that prescott is a desert town no we are not we are not a desert town we have four seasons here folks four beautiful seasons yep none are extreme okay we are not desert this is not phoenix this is not uh yeah you know scottsdale yeah this is very moderate you know temperatures yeah we’re not like flagstaff we’re not high enough to really get snowbound we don’t have elk here no uh we have a fickle lady you know she’s pretty wild yeah yeah i can be after a couple martinis absolutely it’s pets absolutely but anyways so when you come to prescott be open we will take you to all sections especially for your first visit and then you can decide oh i love the rocks oh i know i’ve got to be in trees end of sentence yeah then we can really hone in on the search and just go to those sections and be open to the possibility that you might change your mind we did i thought i wanted to live in the pine trees absolutely and we ended up buying uh in the prescott lakes area that’s right uh which is more kind of a happy happy medium that i think we love it so check it all out you gotta check it out keep yourself open to all possibilities you cannot go wrong here everything here is beautiful and delightful absolutely just different Prescott Open Up

As Summer sets in, Prescott opens up a bit after weeks of corona quarantine. Get the latest as we drive around in the Pickle Van, now decked out in all its splendor.

hello hello hello what’s happening out there ah summer’s happening summer is happening we’re super super excited we’re in the new pickle mobile yeah well the the the pickle van is not new but it’s got a new look it’s got a new look we got our pickle decals we’re so proud to represent the pickle lady brigade uh very excited summer’s here i don’t know if you can tell my bangs have grown in a little bit she’s looking less childish since the last time you saw us that’s right trying to hold this stick straight but it’s hard um but anyway so yeah we’re super excited that summer is arriving our pace has picked up dramatically the city is open we’ve had a ton of visitors our californians hey you guys may not know this but you are allowed to come into our fair city we do not have a quarantine in effect you are allowed to cross state borders you do not have to stay here for 14 days and self-quarantine [Music] you’re okay here absolutely we’re open for business you’re allowed to cross the state lines you’re allowed to visit our hotels are open our restaurants are open with limited table tops uh we are still following protocol but pretty much uh prescott’s open for business yeah a lot of misinformation out there we’re getting a lot of calls from people saying oh i heard you’re gonna have to self quarantine for 14 days that is not the case not the case at all um we’ve had several californians who came in crossed the border they said absolutely no stops or weird things uh they had their one agricultural stock that they always have but other than that um no fears here no one’s going to lock you down once you cross the state lines you’re good to come in here uh of course use common sense if you feel like you’ve been exposed stay put for a while if you’ve been quarantined and you’re and you’re ready to come out and check out what life is like here in prescott feel free absolutely you’re welcome to do that we’ve had i think 294 cases in yavapai county which is where prescott is located that encompasses sedona cottonwood some other smaller cities as well as prescott prescott valley we’ve had 294 cases with six reported deaths so uh we’re holding pretty steady yeah um and uh as i said we’re following all safety protocols yes we are so you are welcome to come here come enjoy the beautiful summer weather here before monsoon season starts and our rains come right now it’s just glorious sunshiny days in the 80s and the evenings it’s in the 60s can’t beat it it’s been nice it’s been really really nice look at what a good job randall’s doing driving oh yeah we both have survived uh quarantine yeah uh i withdrew the divorce the separation that’s right yeah i withdrew that i thought about it i still can’t get within six feet of her but uh other than that i’m good to go but we decided to hang in there we survived the bangs survived the bangs are coming back that’s right now my hair has gotten shorter yeah his hair has gotten shorter yeah i got my summer dude going here i got to keep myself nice and cool but we’re making it so sorry if this is a little yeah just a little wobbly i’m trying to keep wiggle it a little more it’s it’s hard you’re getting some bumps while we’re driving but anyway uh we’d love to have you we’d love to take you out to look at some homes tell you what life is about here and uh see if this could be your next destination you’re looking for more information hit up pickle411.com both buyers and sellers lots of information free giving away and uh very informative yes so look us up check it out and uh give us a call the pickle lady brigade is here with you with you to help you on your next step in life hold on we’re hitting some bumps again lots of bumps lots of bumps but life is full of bumps that’s right i couldn’t get it out fast enough but isn’t that what life is about that is with life lately lots of bumps am i right check us out at pickle411.com see what we’re all about and uh make an appointment to come out and see us love to show you around take care and have a good day bye

17 Degrees

hello what’s happening out there today here with pickle lady cheers and our pickled brigade mugs that contain non-caffeinated coffee beverages for all of our 18 year old uh our home buyers home buyers that we’re setting ourselves we’re not trying to influence and we’re trying to influence not at all yeah but what we are here to talk about is a lot of people who move here we talk about how we have four beautiful seasons and none are too extreme then we have some clients and they move in and they’re like you said it wouldn’t be cold and tonight it’s going to be 17 17 degrees well here’s the thing does it get chilly willy at night time yeah it does it does but the difference is when it’s 17 degrees it’s usually three o’clock in the morning and you’re when you’re already snuggled under your coverage 17 degrees in your bed yeah yeah and it’s not 17 degrees in the daytime no for instance last night we had a pretty cold night now we’re standing outside it’s in the 50s yeah i want to say last night it was down to you know 27 yeah it’s getting up to close to 60. yeah um look at this weather it’s like spring here yeah so don’t let these low temperatures that you see like oh my gosh it’s 15 degrees hardly ever happens yeah when you see 17 degrees in a place like idaho for example it’s gonna be like 17 degrees all day long oh yeah you know it it doesn’t work that way here no yeah it gets very chilly sometimes at nighttime yeah so don’t worry about oh i looked on the weather channel and it says it’s 17 degrees there but they’re at yeah it’s a cold place it’s a cold place it’s not it’s not it’s not it’s not it’ll be fine you have your fireplace on and you’re sleeping yeah because it’s three o’clock in the morning no one’s like a few days in the winter where it’s in the 40s yeah yeah it it it’ll it’ll be cold at night and you know it might be drizzly so it’s really cold or whatever and you do something called stay home uh but like then you know the next day the day after would be up in the 60s that’s the thing the thing about prescott winters is that they’re not relentless they relent uh you know yeah that’s a good way yeah you you get inner space with days where you can run around in your shorts without a shirt i know you know the pickle lady likes to do that and so she’ll do that you know trying to keep the family safe we got to get to keep the family safe don’t forget so don’t let that throw you because yeah it can get pretty cold at nighttime when you’re sleeping but in the daytime look at your day yeah it’s gorgeous it’s in the 60s yesterday i was out taking some buyers i was like wow i’m getting a little hot actually i’m like i’m starting to sweat yeah so don’t let a lot of variety and you know i i i’m from the south so i’m not a cold weather guy but you know i enjoy having a few days where we’ll have a little snow or you know it’s a good day to have a a cup of coffee with the pickle lady right you know sit down on the back porch under a blanket and snuggle and you know all that kind of stuff and then when you get tired of being cold then you get 60 degrees you get 60 degrees yeah and spring has sprung again but the key to remember is do we have snow occasionally is it gone by the next day pretty much usually gone by the afternoon eighty-five percent of the time it’s like no big deal folks i mean you’ll see we had snow a few days ago you might see some snow in the background a little bit of white you know usually by the afternoon the the asphalt the the the roads get warm enough that all the snow’s off the roads and you’ll be on the grass and the bacon lunch you’ll see a little snow no now he’s getting scientific with your ass you know a little snow spice a little snow it’s kind of like having a little gray on the side of here well i don’t have that they tell me i’m distinguished now because mine is minus faith i don’t know any more than i used to i look like that so yeah what we’re saying is folks don’t let those teen temperatures freak you out it is a non-event event 100 non-event where can they find you you can find me at prescottpicklelady.com or we sell prescott.com for our listeners out there people looking to sell homes in the prescott area and there’s always the prescott lady hotline you know what 713-302-1964 introduced ourselves i am diane bro by the way this is randall bro it did that at the beginning yeah maybe i don’t think so it’s hard to edit these things people it’s hard to edit these things it is with the pickle lady she’s not always working on this i’m not i’ve got a lot going on a lot a lot up there houses i’m thinking about people coming in showing that house that’s what i’m thinking as we’re recording she does it never shuts off folks it never shuts off it’s always going to work that’s not very nice there it is that’s not nice all right cheers all right cheers have a great day and we’ll see you next time bye

good morning hello peeps this is randall and diane brooke prescott arizona arizona i put on my christmas attire and i brought my christmas cheer my holiday cheer uh so we are here to introduce to you our new traffic camera traffic control test you’re in question if you’re going to check out a traffic control test there’s always traffic so there’ll be traffic noise on this one so this is kind of a new little development here yeah since we have so many people who come to wisconro and the square and it’s a good tourist section of town right here they have actually put in what we call diagonal cross diagonal crossing at four-way stops at four-way stops it’s pretty cool so right now there’s a test going on at one corner one of our busiest corners right on whiskey row yep which is uh montezuma and gurley yes so i just did some walking across the diagonal yeah she’s good she she tries it out and she’s trying to be like a holiday elf holiday elf running across right yeah diagonal crosswalk yes and walking across the traditional so i i uh showed you how it’s done so when you come visit here don’t be afraid i like the way yes that’s right she’s blazing the trail all right what’d you think it felt a little different kind of like when you’re falling in love for the second time you know the first time it’s just amazing and you’re just like oh my gosh i i’ve never felt like this and the second time when you fall in love with somebody else maybe feels just as good but just a little different i didn’t see much difference i really thought i’m going to get killed is what i really want but it just goes to show you that here in this town we are progressive we have diagonal crossing which is only what you see in big big country yet japan tokyo so uh prescott is progressive here man we are up and coming so how much how much time do you think you save going diagonally versus i don’t think i see anything i’m gonna be honest yeah no because you you know you have to wait for it’s really not to help us it’s really not to help pedestrians can’t tell i think it’s to help traffic flow that’s what this is about yes because my track is slow because then people can’t take the right on red because pedestrians are crossing so really this is to keep traffic going so people aren’t backed up you know trying to make a right turn on red waiting yeah well that could that’s what this is about it’s really not about pedestrians well if you look at if you look at the basic geometry and mathematics you would think that it would be about 29 shorter 29 shorter in terms of the walk and it would be about two-thirds quicker in terms of the weight but yep you go up to the light you have to wait for the light you know i’ll tell you what i felt i felt annoyed because he was directing me press the button she kept going to the wrong corner the wrong that’s what i felt was just annoying because i’m also freezing and go to the that’s what i thought i didn’t feel any time saving or whatever but well we’ll see what happens we don’t know if the uh the how long the test is gonna last no i would think maybe through this year i don’t know it’s been going on for a few months now it’s kind of cool and uh you know we are keeping up with uh keeping up with the time yes moving forward into 2020 in the 2020s the traffic control tests and traffic calming if you haven’t seen our traffic calming video traffic we should check out our traffic into trash a lot of things a lot of things have been cool yeah where can they find you my life you can find me at prescottpicklelady.com 713-302-1964 you can check out our seller’s site we sell prescott.com you also find a link on our regular site prescott piccolo correct so we’re all there me randall we’re here to serve you help you find your perfect place here in prescott absolutely and happy holidays and save some time cut corners cut corners but in a safe and effective way i’ll cut corners where are you going to hurt yourself please corners on whiskey right absolutely all right next time have a wonderful day bye

hello hello hello hey peeps i don’t know if you can recognize us because right now we’re kind of christmas elves yeah but this is diane bro and my better half randall bro correct and part of the pickle lady brigade so cheers to that here’s that so we wanted you to see our new christmas sweater and all of its glory couldn’t be more thrilled he very happy you’re thrilled with this woman’s sweater that you bought you should wear it proudly say i even have pom-pom you have a pom-pom too i’m channeling my yeah but anyway or something so we are very excited we can take the hoods off because it’s getting a little hot but anyway we are very excited tonight or this evening to talk we’re in front of the old our own christmas tree fireplace and this is in the air yeah a little brown wine here he has brown wine i have real one but we are super excited to be here this evening to talk about what is it randall bro christmas and prescott christmas impressions particularly christmas music yes we should have someone in the background huh yeah but that’s all right just pretend that we’re humming something or snoopy’s charlie brown or something like that but anyway um as you know i think we’ve mentioned this before prescott is called arizona’s christmas city that’s right it is gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous guys come here plan a visit now the lights were just the whole town square lit up officially on december 7th that’s right all around the courthouse it’s like the first saturday of december yeah i do it i think and it’s over a hundred thousand likes i mean you’ll feel like you’re you know back and you know you’re in some hallmark movie yeah some christmas hallmark movie absolutely beautiful it’s beautiful absolutely but besides that christmas is a beautiful time to come here the elks theater um has a lot of special christmas shows yeah it’s a big time for music here in prescott what with the elks theater uh but before the else theater gets into christmas mode we have acronite so somebody had another first yeah so akronite was named after this guy james zacker he was a philanthropist had nothing to do with establishing acronym he was just such a nice guy they named it after him huge philanthropist yeah beautiful they’ve been doing action right now for over 30 years right and uh a lot of the businesses in the downtown area participate uh they will open shop at at night right and so they start like for instance this week it’ll be this friday they only do it one night and it’s a huge charitable fundraiser yeah and so actually it’s tonight because by the time they see this oh you’re right we’re gonna pretend yeah but pretend we’ll protect this uh tomorrow night though we will be there we’re very excited yeah we’re we’ll go and so all of the little shops around the immediate square and and the outskirts of it will stay open extra late normally they close a little earlier they stay open late they have some uh some of them have hors d’oeuvres and little you know some wine but they all have musicians local musicians that will come in and perform all kinds of stuff i mean any kind of music you can think of will be represented there and uh it’s it’s free but they do ask for donations right and the donations go to the musicians correct so i’m not sure what the it’s for the arts musicians need you know instruments and right music lessons and those sheets of paper with those squiggly symbols on them and those kinds of things so it’s a you know i do fundraiser for the owner for music yes and so it’s a great time to go enjoy the square and all of its beauty and all the lights and get to go to all these different little shops yep and um there’s a lot of art galleries along the square too and it’s all sort of like mint cider yeah all that kind of stuff it’s a big social event it’s a big event here in prescott and um it’s you this year it will be december 13th they hold it once a year it’s just a lot of fun it is it is and we enjoy it and it’s not trying to get up that’s the start of our weekend because after that we’re going to hit elk’s theater we are hitting hard this weekend we are partying partying pretty hard yes the holidays are started yeah first we had some lovely neighbors who had our little supper club and they had a little uh winter christmas dinner yeah yeah we just got fished a little christmas so that was fun that was the start of it so thank you to the churchill to the church yeah and then uh this friday night we’re going to akron as we said yeah and then uh saturday night we’re going to the elks to see the rat pack so it’s uh in person yeah yeah frank sinatra and dean martin and sammy davis and whoever the fourth guy is correct and they’re gonna be singing some of the oldie peter lawford you never get it right peter lawford no you said chris lawford and then i changed it and then i changed it as long as you got it right now i got it right it’s all that matters so now the the the impersonators do the right pack and then for christmas so it’d be kind of like a big they’re uh send off to uh their old vegas uh yeah christmas shows so we’re excited about that we’re going with some friends to that having a little bite to eat before yeah and going to the rat pack christmas at the outset yeah theater itself is gorgeous it’s a old historic landmark uh it’s really refurbished it’s just one of those old school small town theaters uh just just beautiful uh the iconic elk on top of it yeah gigantic very large gigantic elk on top of the yeah yeah it’s on top of the building what do you think that is what do you think it’s made out of something adorable it’s not made of elk no it’s not it’s not taxidermied yeah no yeah it’s like some kind of bronze bronze that’s what it is i think it’s one of those metals but yeah one of those hardcore that can survive for many years yeah who knows i don’t know it’s pretty cool yeah and then on sunday so this is what i’m saying the bros are having fun i’m telling you we’re out here we’re gonna wear our christmas sweaters we’re out here enjoying what this great city has to offer during during the christmas month during the holidays and it’s all about music this weekend yes music so sunday we’re going to see esteban classical guitarist spanish style classical guitarist he’s amazing uh studied under segovia and he is he is a treasure and we have him he lives here in president he lives here in prescott yeah it’s super super cool a treasure yeah so he did a great concert uh for mother’s day and now he’s doing a christmas concert so so we are super psyched about that we’re going to enjoy that yeah absolutely so we’re kicking off our holidays in good form we’ve been working hard super hard this week this year it’s been crazy lots of people are still coming in yeah hey we’ll work with you we’ll show you whatever you need to see yeah whatever you need to say we’ll bring you mult cider and we’ll sing a christmas tune correct take you to go see houses no problem we’re working whether it’s been nice and crisp really fun it’s been beautiful yeah if you haven’t it’s good oh real really cheers life is good life is good if you haven’t decided on prescott yet you’re still considering all those other god forsaken places that people retire to besides our little town that will never rate us we’re never going to rape but we’re partial come during the holiday season and this town will win your heart yes absolutely absolutely wonderful what’s sad what’s that right now we’re out of the spirit of christmases don’t grab your boobs wow i’m not sure which one of these is my group one of them is my navel i think i don’t know but yeah if this town at christmas doesn’t capture your heart and make you you’re a grinch yeah you’re a great you are officially a grinch no doubt about it you’re missing out on having a great life here in prescott just for the christmas season alone or the holiday season just the right pack that’s it’s not too late
